Wittere tanden met oilpulling

'Oil pulling" ofwel olie laten intrekken is een techniek om wittere tanden te krijgen. 

Het bestaat blijkbaar al ja-ren maar staat nu meer en meer in de belangstelling. Ik ken het van Australische facebook-vrienden die geobsedeerd zijn door cocosolie. Dit 'systeem' is zo eenvoudig dat ik het raar vind dat ik het niet eerder weet! Een lepel olie nemen en een 20-tal minuten in je mond houden. Daar kan toch niets verkeerd aan zijn? 

Noot: SLIK HET NIET IN. De bedoeling is dat je het olie-goedje uit je mond gaat met alle slechte stoffen. Als je timer gaat spuw je het weg én bye bye bacteriën.

De voordelen:

- wittere tanden;

- versterking van tanden;

- helpt tegen een slechte adam;

- goed bij hoofdpijn! (én hangovers);

- maakt je sinussen vrij;

- algemene body-detox;

- ... .

Mijn ervaring... Wel ik moet eerlijk zijn ik kon het geen 20 minuten in mijn mond houden. Het schijnt dat je met een thee-lepel moet beginnen, en dan na weken kunt overstappen naar een eet-lepel. Ik ben gelijk begonnen met een EETlepel en heb het maar een 7-tal minuten binnen kunnen houden. Ik vond het ook moeilijk om niet te slikken en door mijn neus te ademen. 

Resultaat: mijn tanden voelden properder aan leken ook witter. Ik weet niet dat dit nu mentaal is of het echt geholpen heeft maar ik ga het ZEKER nog eens proberen. Hopelijk kan ik het dan langer volhouden. 

Het is zo simpel dat je het zelf maar eens moet uitproberen, dit met 100% cocosolie of sesamolie. 

Waar kan je dit halen? Turnhoutsebaan/ Carnotstraat  Antwerpen heb ik winkeltjes waar ze dit voor €5,00 verkopen. Ben er zeker van dat ze dit ook in andere steden verkopen zoals Brussel, Turnhout, Mechelen,... Je gaat het ook zeker in  Nederland vinden, anders bestel je het gewoon online op Ebay bijvoorbeeld. Let erop dat het 'organic' is.

"Oil pulling has been around for years, which makes me mad I’ve only just found out about it. It’s an ancient Ayurvedic technique that basically involves you swishing oil in your mouth for 20 minutes (no more no less) & it pulls toxins out of your body through your mouth. The idea behind it is pretty simple stupid- the oil is “sticky” and when you swish it around in your mouth bacteria gets stuck in the oil & dissolves.

Introducing 'P.S. Beauty' Make Up Range | Primark

Hi beautylovers.

Monday I had my first real Primark experience, me and my sweet friend went from Belgium to the Netherlands (Eindhoven) to visit the fashion-paradise. (Actually it's just across the border) It was like Disneyland really...

Bought me some shoes, a handbag, a blouse, t-shirt, some necklaces... and I'm really proud of the items. They don't look cheap at all and are totally fashionable: exactly what we all girls need.

I'm definitely going back in a month because I got my eye on the makeup section. 

You can see in the video the colors are fresh and the pigmentation is actually really good. 

Spring is coming so we can see a lot of pastel colors.

2014.... summer.... tic-tok time to get fit!
I'm struggling with my weight all the time... Especially in the winter.
Now I'm promising you that I'm going to take care of myself: doing some sport and eating healthier. The combination of sport + diet is something I've  never done.
Sport: I'm thinking of dancing at home + running. Do you got some other ideas that really work?

Beauty trends 2014

2014 has arrived and we're back focused on spring and summer.

What makeup will be hot in s/s 2014?  Luckily we got New York Fashion week to help us out.
It's all about a natural, EFFORTLESS (love that word), healthy beauty with some accents on lips and eyes (colors, lines...). Get inspired with this 3 fashion-trends, and get the face of the runway!

Smokey eyes tutorial, step by step

Smokey eyes are perfect to put your eyes in the spotlights. With this look you get more mysterious and sexy so thé look for a night out... but did you know that there are different kind of smokey eyes, even for a work/schoolday? Just watch and learn.. and/or get inspired!

1. Total black

First you put black on your eyelid. Make a beautiful bow (just like the picture), perfect to make your eyes bigger.  Put some of the black also under the eye: you're eyes get bigger! Then (3), use a business card to make a perfect wing. (6) Don't forget to make a Kayal-line in your eyes.
(8) Smokey eyes are all about blending; take dark brown shadow ... and blend it with the black on the bow.  (11) you can use some shimmer under your eyebrows.

2. The smokey eyes: 3 colors
Different way to make a smokey eye (a way that I prefer) is to blend with 3 colors: working from dark to light. Here we have: Black, Grey, Light grey
First start with the darkest color on the end of your eye. Make a perfect bow.
In the middle we put grey (or other color). Then we finish up with the lightest color (light grey)... and we blend it from the inner corner to the end (the black).

This is the basic and can be used with other colors!

3. Neutral smokey eyes

So now you know the basics. Now you can do this with lighter colors... for an everyday look.

Mostly you use 3 colors... But honestly you can do it with 2 too, just BLEND.. 

The best afterparty- mask

After all the partying your skin needs a treat.
We love to dance on the table and to drink champagne... then we forget to wash all the makeup off. Yes I'm guilty too, I love to put a new face on with foundation and powder, but don't clean my skin like it should.  I have to underline girls... cleaning your face IS necessary, your skin will look older if you don't. Don't believe me? This is what they found out with a experiment on the program The Drs:

 This woman didn't washes her face for a month... and that is what you see on her skin.

Make an avocado mask to relax the skin. Make sure that your skin is clean first, use a mild soap. Mix a little bit of honey (so it get sticky) with a avocado. Leave it for 15 minutes then rinse off. You'll feel so much better and your skin will feel fresh. You will get the full spa effect if you'll add some cucumber slices on your eyes. Simple and effective, just the way we like it. Tip! Use rosewater as finishing touch... to close your pores. Have fun with it!
